                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 10579,
                   ENCAPTIONED HEREINBELOW, SO AS TO SUBSTITUTE
                   THE LEGAL PROPERTY DESCRIPTION THEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 10579,
         encaptioned as follows:
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED SOUTHEAST FROM KELLEY STREET, BETWEEN
                   McCALLIE AVENUE AND OAK STREET, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, UPON CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
         be and is hereby amended so as to delete the legal property
         description and substitute in lieu thereof the following 
revised
         legal description:
        
             
              A 10 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northwest
              line of Lyerly Street 130 feet northeast of the
              intersection of the northwest line of Lyerly Street
              with the northeast line of McCallie Avenue (as now
              widened), and extending northwest 250 feet between
              parallel lines, and parallel to McCallie Avenue. 
              Said alleyway separates lots 4-8, block 1,
              Henderson's Addition to Orchard Knob, as shown by
              plat of record in deed book X, volume 6, page 181,
              ROHC, from lot 9, Revised Plan of Lot 9, Block 1,
              and 3rd Revised Plan of Lot 7, Block 2, Henderson's
              Addition to Orchard Knob, as shown by plat of
              record in plat book 54, page 149, ROHC.  Tax Map
              No. 146K-M-11 and 16-20.
             
             
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as 
required
         by law.
